Guey Chuen Perng, nick name Oscar, earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at University of California, Davis, and got his postdoc training in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC), an affiliated teaching hospital to University of California, Los Angeles. Oscar was an assistant professor at the Department of Ophthalmology at UC Irvine and served as Director of Arbovirology division at AFRIMS, an affiliated research institute to US Military in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2007, Oscar was recruited to the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as an Associate Professor at Emory University. In 2012, with his outstanding research and insightful knowledge on dengue and global vision on infectious diseases and prevention, Oscar was recruited to the Center of Infectious Disease and Signaling Research at National Cheng Kung University. Currently, Oscar is a faculty at Department of Microbiology and Immunology, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan.
